Event Details

A workshop to maximise women’s success in returning to or progressing in SET careers
Aims of the workshop, to:
         understand how employers use CV’s, letters and application forms to shortlist candidates for interview
•         know the importance of an effective, job-specific approach
•         be aware of the questions your CV must answer and different formats to present your CV
•         be able to identify the benefits of your current situation, including transferable skills
•         be able to write a strong covering letter
•         be able to answer example based application form questions
•         know where to look for more support & information
•         know what you need to do next to maximise your chances (action plan)
 
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for you if you are a woman with a background in a Science, Engineering, Technology or a Built Environment subject (SET)
 
You may be:
·        Returning to work after a career break
·        At risk of being made redundant or have been made redundant
·        Looking for a suitable SET opportunity
·        Working in an unsuitable SET or non-SET job
·        A SET student
